1. What Artplots is
Artplots (artplots.app) is a platform for artists, curators and other art professionals to build and share professional profiles. Its goal is to facilitate self-presentation and communication in art.
It is operated by Aleksej Talstou, based in Hamburg, Germany.
Artplots is not a gallery, marketplace, or agency. We do not represent, sell, or endorse the work of anyone on the platform but offer the software and guidance on how to use it for presenting one's own practice.
By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old to use Artplots. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users who do not meet this criterion.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your account and all activity that happens under it. Keep your login details secure and do not share them with others.
You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering. You may not create more than one account per person.
If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at hello@artplots.app immediately.
Accounts are personal and non-transferable. You may not sell, transfer, or assign your account to another person.
Your handle (e.g. artplots.app/@yourname) is part of your profile identity on Artplots. Handles cannot be transferred between accounts. We reserve the right to reclaim handles that are inactive, violate these terms, or impersonate another person or organisation.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used in a way that harms the platform or other users.
4. Your content
You retain full ownership of everything you upload to Artplots — texts, images, and other materials.
By uploading content, you grant Artplots a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the service. This licence does not include the right to reproduce, print, or commercially use your work in any way.
Your profile is public. Other users and visitors may share your profile, individual works, projects, and notes as links or shareable image cards, using the sharing features available on the platform, according to your plan.
If you tag or mention Artplots on social media, we may reshare or feature your content.
We do not use your uploaded content to train AI models.
When your work is displayed or shared via the platform, it remains attributed to you. If you upload documentation of collaborative or commissioned work, you confirm you have the right to display it.
You are solely responsible for the content you publish. You must not upload content that:
- —infringes the intellectual property rights of others
- —is defamatory, abusive, threatening, or harassing
- —depicts or promotes illegal activity
- —contains malware or harmful code
- —misrepresents your identity or credentials
- —promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms without prior notice.
5. Plans and features
Artplots offers paid subscription plans with different feature sets. Current plans and prices are listed on the pricing page and may change with reasonable notice.
Your subscription is billed monthly and renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.
Upon cancellation, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account and all associated data are deleted. Payment records are retained as required by law.
Your custom subdomain (e.g. yourname.artplots.app) is a feature of your paid plan, not a permanent assignment. It is released upon cancellation and may be reassigned.
6. Payments
Payments are processed securely through Paddle. We do not store your card details. Transaction records are retained as required by law.
You are charged according to your selected subscription plan. Current prices are listed on the pricing page. If prices change, we will update the pricing page and notify you by email at least 30 days in advance.
If a payment fails, we will attempt to process it again. If payment cannot be collected, your subscription will be cancelled and the cancellation terms above will apply.
If you are not satisfied with your subscription, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your purchase or renewal date by contacting us at hello@artplots.app. Refunds are processed by our payment provider, Paddle, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. By completing a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's terms of service.
7. Privacy and data
How we collect, store, and use your data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using Artplots, you agree to our Privacy Policy.
8. Platform availability
We aim to keep Artplots available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or make changes to the service with reasonable notice.
We may add, modify, or remove features at any time without affecting your current billing period. We will communicate significant changes by email or via a notice on the platform.
We are not liable for outages or disruptions caused by third-party services or circumstances beyond our control, including hosting providers, payment processors, or force majeure events.
If we discontinue the service, we will provide at least 30 days notice by email and allow sufficient time to retrieve your data before deletion.
9. Limitation of liability
Artplots is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, loss of income, or reputational damage.
Consultations and guidance offered through Artplots represent professional opinion and experience. They do not constitute legal, financial, or career advice, and outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, to the exclusion of its conflict of laws provisions and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hamburg, Germany.
EU consumers retain the right to bring disputes before the courts of their country of residence in accordance with applicable EU consumer protection law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you may cancel your account before the changes take effect. Continued use of Artplots after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Contact
If you have questions about these terms or the service, contact us at hello@artplots.app.
